High Performance Junior Program

Our Mission

Our High Performance Junior Program is designed for committed young athletes who aspire to compete at the highest levels of junior tennis. Led by our High Performance Director, Petros Georgiou, and supported by our experienced coaching team, the program combines world-class training methods with a supportive, growth-focused environment that challenges every player to reach their fullest potential.


We focus on developing complete players; technically, tactically, physically, and mentally. Through structured on-court training, competitive match play, off-court conditioning, and individualized guidance, athletes learn how to train with purpose, compete with confidence, and develop habits that translate to long-term success both on and off the court.

HP PRogram Features

Fitness, Strength, and Conditioning

Our off-court training is tailored to the needs of developing junior athletes. Players work through a structured progression focusing on:

  • Agility and Footwork Speed: Quickness, directional changes, and explosive first steps
     
  • Strength & Power Development: Age-appropriate functional strength, core stability, and rotational strength
     
  • Tennis-Specific Movement Patterns: Balance, recovery steps, transition footwork, and coordination
     
  • Endurance & Conditioning: Aerobic and anaerobic fitness to support long points and long matches
     
  • Injury Prevention: Mobility, flexibility, joint stability, and proper warm-up and cool-down routines
     

This foundation prepares athletes to train at a high intensity on court and reduces the risk of overuse injuries.

High-Intensity Drilling

Players work through advanced technical and tactical drills that challenge their consistency, movement, and shot quality. Emphasis is placed on:

  • Clean, efficient stroke mechanics
     
  • Controlled topspin and depth
     
  • Court positioning and footwork discipline
     
  • Consistency under pressure

Live Ball Training

To simulate match environments, athletes participate in competitive live ball scenarios such as:

  • Rally progression drills
     
  • Approach and transition patterns
     
  • Offensive and defensive point building
     
  • Directional control and shot selection
     

These sessions develop problem-solving skills and force players to make decisions at game speed.

Strategic Point Play

Players learn how to construct points intelligently, based on their strengths and the situations presented. Training includes:

  • Pattern development (serve +1, return +1, rally patterns)
     
  • Exploiting opponent weaknesses
     
  • Shot tolerance and patience
     
  • Tactical awareness in singles and doubles
     

Coaches provide real-time feedback to help players translate strategy into confident execution.

Supervised Match Play

Regular match play gives athletes the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned. Coaches guide players through:

  • Competitive sets and match formats
     
  • Mental routines and composure
     
  • Between-point habits
     
  • Match analysis and tactical adjustments

Mental Performance and Competitive Mindset

Our program teaches players how to think and compete like athletes. Topics include:

  • Goal setting and accountability
     
  • Confidence and emotional control
     
  • Handling pressure and adversity
     
  • Respect, sportsmanship, and leadership

Individual Progress Tracking

Coaches evaluate each athlete throughout the season, providing insights into:

  • Technical growth
     
  • Physical development
     
  • Match performance patterns
     
  • Tactical understanding
     
  • Areas of improvement and recommended focus
     

Parents receive clear feedback so they understand their player’s progress and pathway.
