"My name is Owen Weiss and I sustained my spinal cord injury in 2023. Before my injury, I played tennis at a high level. When I woke up unable to walk after my spinal surgery for my AVM, I thought my tennis journey had come to an end. After discovering wheelchair tennis with Commonpoint Queens not even 1 year ago, I was able to reignite my passion for tennis. Now I am back to playing competitions and tournaments and have a new passion for disability advocacy and motivational speaking."
